A Bit About Me

Painting situations about people is a passion of mine. The oil painting depicted here is one such scene. The contrast between the two daughters, one beautiful and bored, the other, plain and wary is a subtle contrast. The Mother looks on with a pensive eye, concerned about her beautiful, spoiled daughter.

Specializing in painting and drawing, capturing everyday scenes of animals and people is what I strive to reflect. Beloved pets and those animals which touch our hearts have special meaning to me and I try to express my feelings in my work. My paintings are exhibited in local and regional galleries, businesses, and private collections. I am currently exhibiting at galleries and shows shown on my Exhibits Page.

In 2010, I received a second place award for an oil titled "Still Life Of Fruit" from the Fine Arts League of Cary's Miniature & Small Works Show. This year, I received an Honorable Mention in Oil for my painting Evening Song at the 31st Fine Arts Festival held by the Moore County Arts Council. Throughout the years I have received several Best In Show awards as well as other awards.
My juried shows include Hilton Head National Juried Exhibition, 18th Annual Mid-Atlantic Juried Art Exhibit, the Raleigh Fine Arts Society 2011 Artists Exhibition, the Long Island Smithtown Township Arts Council exhibit Circling The Globe Through Women's Lives, the FALC 2011 Juried Exhibition and the Randolph Arts Guild Annual Juried Art Show.

The artwork on this online gallery represents my style and techniques. Most artwork displayed is for sale. If a piece has been sold, I would love creating the painting again in the same colors and style for you!
